There something I have always wondered about one my favorite reading materials, Meditations by Marcus Aurelius - what if it was written, not by the most powerful man on Earth, but by a common Joe? I felt Naval almanack felt quite close to what I think would be such a common Joe's Meditations.

So many things to like about the book and the man behind the book. Naval started out as a poor Indian boy but made it big. But despite being a big VC his voice retains the common touch. He has held to his principles. He is honest about his inspirations and does not try to make himself look wise on borrowed words. I though it was particularly apt when he said "Money won't solve all your problems but money will solve all of your money problems". He asks people to be patient, work smart not hard, is bluntly honest and talks in a matter of factly tone.

Odd that a good book is available for free.
