I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

5.0

Gut-wrenching, dark, honest, unbelievably sad, and quite frankly, shocking at times.

This is Jennette McCurdy’s memoir. The iCarly Teen Star. About how she grew up, her mom pushing her into acting, her mom’s manipulative behavior, Jennette’s eating disorder, her dysfunctional relationships, and about the absolute poisonous Hollywood facade.

There were times, while reading this memoir, where I felt ill. Physical ill. I wanted to hurt and scream at Jennette’s mom and grandmother. Multiple times throughout this Book. It’s definitely a must-read but be aware.. this is a memoir and not fiction. This is a book about trauma and a dysfunctional family. Enter at your own risk.
