I absolutely LOVED this novella! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read before. A la folie is the first erotic horror romance i’ve read. It was original, steamy, intriguing, captivating, shocking, unexpectedly & deliciously twisted! Lux & Indie are EVERYTHING! Lux’s backstory is tragic, but explains why he is the way he is as an adult. Indie feels lost and alone due to the sad events in her life & because of the way her life currently is. They are INSTANTLY captivated by eachother. I loved the dynamic of their situation with eachother, and I was extremley happy with the way the story ended. However, I was so intrigued by one of the secondary characters. Johnny was something else. He was completely unhinged & I found myself wanting to know more about him and his story! I hope in the followup to this novella, Maison De Fous, we get to learn more about Johnny & I’m especially curious about his backstory!! all in alll, this was a very well rounded story for how short it was & I 10/10 recommend. As usual, check the TWs. i do NOT suggest going into this one blind!
