Utterly brilliant, I was reading this for book club and worried I hadn't left myself enough time but once I started reading, I raced through.
The writing is excellent, the characters are deftly drawn and the story is harrowing and gripping.
No surprises that it wins accolades - I'll be keen to read more by Whitehead
