It's in His Kiss by Julia Quinn
5.0
It’s In His Kiss is the seventh in the Bridgerton series, and follows Hyacinth, who agrees to translate a diary from Italian for her dear friend’s - Lady Danbury’s - grandson, Gareth. Together they uncover a mystery, learn a lot about themselves and each other, and develop a very special bond. Hyacinth is hilarious and it seems to be a recurring theme to feature an awful father. Richard. I recommend this book because it’s becoming really hard to rank the Bridgerton books, I love them all so much. I do adore how pure this book felt, in the sense that Hyacinth and Gareth met, developed a friendship, and fell in love along the way. It was so easy and natural and it made me happy to read. It also features a love confession that cannot be beat. “I am asking you to marry me because I love you,” he said, “because I cannot imagine living my life without you. I want to see your face in the morning, and then at night, and a hundred times in between. I want to grow old with you, I want to laugh with you, and I want to sigh to my friends about how managing you are, all the while secretly knowing I am the luckiest man in town.”
