Contrary to my putting my start & end date to this book as the 25th December 2023, I was first read this book in my mums womb on Christmas Eve 1991 before my birth date the following January and have read this every single Christmas Eve since then. I can’t begin to put into words just how beautiful this story is. It’s a classic for a reason & gives the most wonderful festive feel good feeling ! Every Christmas Eve I get into my new Christmas Eve pyjamas , snuggle up into bed with a hot chocolate , read the night before Christmas & have an early(ish) night & wait for Santa to come with the families presents. I just can’t fault this story, what could be more magical and Christmassy than awakening to the sound of St Nick & his reindeer arriving to your home & sneakily watching him place your presents around your tree! My all time favourite & I’ll never tire of it
