Meet Me in London
by Georgia Toffolo
THREE OUT OF FIVE STARS!!! 6.00 CAWPILE
Let me start off by saying that I listened to this book on audio. Usually I love when an author reads their own book but in this case the author's accent really kind of ruined the book for me. Her accent is very thick and I felt I was struggling to understand her at times. It took me a few hours to get used to her voice and dictation.
The narrator definitely brought down the enjoyment of this book for me.
On the other hand when we look strictly at the writing and content of the book it was alright. The first half of the book was slow and I was pretty uninterested. I honestly wanted to put the book down at multiple times throughout listening to it but I stuck through it because it was recommended to me.
This book did pick up towards the middle and I found myself genuinely caring about Victoria and Oliver by the end. I do hope to pick up the other books in this series at some point.
