Lights Out by Navessa Allen
3.0

I went into this book blind, assuming it was a thriller, after looking for an available audiobook on Libby. What a ride! Despite the MMC being a walking red flag, it was funny, unabashedly sexy, and there was good communication with no third act breakup. I appreciated that the FMC was competent and confident. The mafia plot at the end felt dull, marriage and kids seemed like a bad idea, and it's difficult to overlook the stalking and possessiveness from the MMC, but the writing was self-aware and emphasized consent enough for me to not hate it.
