The Other Queen by Philippa Gregory

*4.3 stars.

“For most of my life i have been adored by fools and hated by people of good sense, and they all make up stories about me in which I am either a saint or a whore. But I am above these judgments, I am a Queen.”

This novel is packed with betrayal and a constant battle for power, it highlights a single woman’s rise and fall as she attempts to win what was hers all along: the throne of England.

I've been reading lots of reviews on the The Other Queen and I'm stunned at the poor reception it has received.

Philippa Gregory brings history to life!
