One Night with the Duke: The sexy, scandalous and page-turning regency romance you won't be able to put down! by Jodi Ellen Malpas

5.0

JEM going into historical regency romance had me intrigued, the story was good, the beginning was slow, then it picked up and ended a bit rushed for my liking. There were similar situations with other historical series I have read and that was something I didn't expected from the author, but I like the twists the story had at the end. Eliza was a great character, I love everything about her, she was perfect for the Duke and the story, but let's be honest we all wanted to know about the Duke, he was a mystery and as all male characters we know written by JEM, we all wanted to see how he was and his story. I would've loved to know a bit more about his story. The elements of the regency genre were very well executed, no modernization and accurate to the time period, I like the steam and the way the main couple interacted with each other, their chemistry and what they found in the other, they certainly had to overcome a few things, and I loved every page of how their story unfolded. I can't wait to read the next in the Belmore Square series.
