Wow, that was intense! First, I am so happy that I listened to this book. It really helped to make it come alive, and the pronunciations mad sense. I knocked off a 3/4 star because I felt there was a lot of gratuitous gory details in many of the MANY gruesome parts. Initially, I was going to give it 3 stars. However, the end came together in an unexpected and really moving way. I think this is going to be one of those books that stays with me for a very long time. One of my favorite parts of this and the first, was the grappling with gender identity. I still need to ponder moreā¦
