Bloodsucking Fiends by Christopher Moore

4.0

This is the first book in Moore's "funtasy" vampire romance trilogy. Twenty-four year old Jody is on her way home from work when she is attacked. She wakes up the next evening trapped under a dumpster with a burned hand. And then things get weird.

Jody quickly realizes she is a vampire. And that she needs a human to do her bidding during the day. Enter Tommy, or C. Thomas Flood, fresh in town from Indiana and looking for an adventure to inspire his writing. And boy does he find it.

The last time I read this book I hadn't even been to San Francisco, much less lived there so it was fun to know the sights and recognize the neighborhood. Now on to the next in the trilogy - You Suck.
