Miss Fury Volume 1 by Rob Williams

2.0

I didn't know much about Miss Fury when I picked up this graphic novel that came as part of a Comic Bento month celebrating female characters, but I know know it is a revamping of a Golden Age character known then as Black Fury. Similar character to Batman's Catwoman in the fact that they are thieves, and antiheroes more than heroes. The concept was interesting as the character falls through time and bounces back and further between her time in the forties and modern times where time traveling Nazi's are planning on winning WWII in 2013, the time travel stuff is messy, and celebrates the fact that it is messy which I enjoyed but I can imagine is off putting to some. Ultimately though this story was a little anticlimactic and as much as I wanted to like Miss Fury as a character, they left her fairly flat as a character. Probably more of a two and a half star, being that I see two as okay, and three as good, but it was closer to okay than it was good.
