A few highlights and comments:

I absolutely LOVE that Alex Easton is nonbinary, but it isn’t the whole focus of their character. I hope to see more of it in mainstream literature going forward.

The Moroi was an interesting monster, to say the least. I’ve heard other folktales regarding this monster before but the imagery of this book takes it to the next level.

This book read more like a movie screenplay than a novella. Not necessarily a bad thing, but the pacing was different than the first book of the series. More of a slow burn in the beginning and then the climax just batter rams down the door the next chapter.

I highly recommend this series. I need the next book ASAP!!!
