Batman: Ego and Other Tails by Darwyn Cooke

Darwyn Cooke was a master storyteller and this anthology does a good job showcasing his talents as an artist and a writer. He was at his best when writing and illustrating together. The best story is "Catwoman: Selina's Big Score", a noir caper. The title story, "Ego", is probably one of the weaker entries, but it does touch on some of the psychological aspects of the Batman mythos that have become central to modern interpretations.
