Hidden Valley Road: Inside the Mind of an American Family
by Robert Kolker
It was mildly interesting but so. Dang. Long. I was trying to learn about schizophrenia- and I did learn some things - but I didn’t love the sample size of one really dysfunctional family. It was hard to separate what was just that family’s dysfunction and what was the disease. I read some others’ comments about how it was sad that this book painted people with schizophrenia so poorly, and I can see that. And it was looooong. Would skip this one.
