Two PIs become targets when he investigates a Mexican cartel. He's very assertive and alpha, but also very caring and completely respectful of her strength, pluck and determination. There's always been simmering attraction (especially on his side) and it becomes a lot more as he cares for her in her recovery (she's a wheelchair user from previous injuries). She has difficulty letting people in, but he wins her over with his sincerity -  he gets a special car for her, and installs an elevator in his house. He loves her so much and it shows.

The rep for older people with wrinkles, imperfect bodies and disabilities is done very well - and that they can also have adventurous, sexy times! I enjoyed the action/suspense - it shows his protectiveness and her bad-assery, and strengthens their trust, bond and romance.
