I enjoyed this a lot, thought the pacing was great, the character dynamics were excellent especially between Eojin and Hyeon (a touch of romance but not too much which worked really well considering the morbidity of the situation that brought them together) and the writing worked really well - it felt so well suited to the era this book took place in.
The mystery aspect was done well - kept me on my toes and I really didn’t figure out who it was until it was revealed.
I think the only reason I’m knocking off half a star is because I thought the confrontation with the murderer would be a little more dramatic or something. Idk how to explain it, but something felt just a teensy bit underwhelming maybe…?
Overall, I definitely recommend.
