I'm of two minds about this book. I absolutely love the concept - a trans commune raising and racing dragons together - but it felt like the writing was rushed.  There were some major inconsistencies and plot holes (can you fly with your dragons for 2 days and still wonder if the youngest can really fly? why do you need to keep buying cloth for period pads instead of washing them? and some bigger spoilery stuff too) and the last 20 pages or so felt like handwave after handwave. I really liked the concept, but maybe taking more time to explore it and go in more depth would've helped the story a lot. Also getting someone to proofread it, to be honest. Weird ungrammatical phrases kept pulling me out of the story...
