Wow! This graphic novel format is the perfect way to experience this amazing piece of writing by Margaret Atwood. It has the same attention to eye catching detail that the Hulu series achieves, which encapsulates the atrocities and yet somehow makes it beautiful and heartbreaking. The graphic novel stays true to the original novel in which the words alone are tragic but without the imagery the story just doesn't have the same major impact, at least with me. I am grateful to the adaptations for making me aware of Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale and it has now become a favorite that I recommend to others. Thank you to Debbie for gifting this to me for Christmas and now I can have it forever to revisit and lend to friends. I recommend everyone check this one out.
