Where There's a Will by Jessie Walker
4.5
dark emotional sad tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Character
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

So, I'm totally a bit lost in my thoughts on this book as a whole. The characters are so addicting (not a great word choice for this book) and easy to love. But, the amount of anger and grief and trauma experienced by the characters makes the story challenging to read a lot of the time. So prepare to be uncomfortable. There is a ton of drama and the way to two MCs are drawn together makes it hard to watch as the grief and trauma from the past pulls at them. With all that said, I couldn't put it down. It is really well written and I was rooting for the characters to find their way to each other. I'm a little (okay, a lot) bummed at the abrupt, cliffhanger ending. I really don't like them. I think that is the main reason I'm holding this one at 4.5 stars. I totally recommend this book, just make sure to prepare for all the drama and lots of anger, alcohol, and frustration.
