So I read this book last month and I could not put it down! It had me gripped right from the start and I read it in one sitting.
Now this book is SAD, and I mean it is sad theoughout and the trauma the main character goes theough starts on page one and it goes right to the last page. You want to just take Eden and give her a massive, massive hug. Throughout this book you can see the guilt and trauma Eden has inside her, and how the people around her dismissed her when she needed their help.
I really thought Josh was good to Eden but it was a right person wrong time situation I think, mostly because of Eden’s age but she did need someone who would love her no matter what.
I wish we saw past the ending to see what happens to a certain character after everything that happens in the last few chapters (I am trying really hard to not spoil here!)
This book literally made my heart hurt but I am still giving it 4.5 stars! The most sad and anger inflicting this about this book is that this happens to people in real life, not just the characters. It happens, and bot everyone speaks up for various reasons. This is Eden’s story but it is also potentially your neighbours, your friends, your aunts story. Don’t let people silence you.
Please please please check the trigger warnings for this book if you think it might cause you any harm, there is a lot in this book including: Sexual assault, underage drinking and drug use, underage relationships.
