I'm not a huge fan of dystopian future novels with such happy endings, so I appreciated that someone actually dies. I could have done without the whole "martyr" thing, but I enjoyed the book nonetheless. The biggest problem with these teen trilogies is that I forget everyone but the main characters. I could not for the life of me remember how Christina and Will and Zeke and Peter and Caleb were all connected. I still don't know who Cara is and why I should have cared about her. I felt nothing when Uriah was injured because the author tried to make too many characters important and as a result I had no idea who any of them were. Loved the subplot with Tris's mom though.
