White Noise by Don DeLillo

3.0

An enthralling if meandering exegesis of man's fear of dying. Don Delillo infallibly dissects the neuroses of late capitalism, brilliantly aestheticising the emptiness of the commercial transactions underpinning our lives. An enjoyable, and for that reason, vaguely comforting read. Or is the other way around? White Noise is perhaps just that; an incessant humming background of things we tell ourselves to ward off the inevitable.
