I can relate a lot to this book since I am also an asylum seeker from El Salvador. So, there are many things which I could compare to my experience. I thought the book and the characters were great, but
sometimes it does feel like the characters set off for a goal and it is never accomplished and when they are finally resolve at the end of the book, they feel a little rush.
I would of like to spend a little more time with the characters.
The journey to the United States is not easy and it usually is not short there are many encounters that are very memorable that can only occur because of the circumstances everyone is traveling with. I would of like it if there were more details about that journey and the encounters Anna and Marisol had during it.
Overall I had lots of fun with the book and definitely recommend it!
