I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book! At the beginning I didn’t feel like the writing was doing much to evoke emotion but as the story went on I found the characters and their flaws and relationships so honest and refreshing to read.
I loved how different each character was and how their multidimensional personalities related to the other people in their lives.
The storyline was beautiful and well thought out and, although I found a lot of it predictable, the harsh reality of tragedy through the book really showed through which made me want to keep reading.
There were some descriptions and parts of the writing which I wasn’t so keen on, but overall the story kept me hooked and it was something different from what is popular at the moment which was fun to read.
