Basketful of Heads #4 by Reiko Murakami, Dan McDaid, Leomacs, Joe Hill

I liked the beginning of this issue a lot. We see June being a badass female, defending herself against criminals. She begins to question whether what she is doing is right or wrong. Yes, June is protecting herself from harm but is wielding an axe and murdering people the correct solution? Is she insane? She’s carrying around a basketful of heads that are talking to her.

Later on, she goes to the police station to find Hank, son of the police chief. She fills him in on her dilemma, and he ends up tricking her into getting into a cell which he locks. Surprise! He’s a bad guy. While this was very expected, I found that the comic is staying very true to the original horror storyline typical of the 1980s horror classics. I’m still enjoying this series, love the art!
