I was told by a friend that this book was only popular because it featured good sex scenes, but from an abusive relationship. Having read the previous book not knowing this was the sequel, I had my reservations. What started as Beauty and the Beast turned into a Hades and Persephone story, I was unprepared to read a story so akin to my recent escape of an abusive relationship and it was both hard and so healing to read. Sarah's done it again and this is a beautiful and healing tale of growth and promises.
