This is written in prose poetry/prose writing and it was a captivating read! If you enjoy reading books like the Dear America series then I recommend this book. The author does a marvelous job at giving the readers an emotional look into the Irish Potato Famine, while also developing a love story between two main characters. Although nothing is graphic, some content about the famine and what it did to people can be disturbing to read. Otherwise, the writing is easy to take in and easy to become fully engaged with the story!
