I was really looking forward to Kane's story since his introduction in the first book, but I felt like this really missed the mark. Total insta-love within like two meetings, the story really felt forced, the plot line just felt forced. The drama felt forced. It felt like reading a completely different series. I get that Kane is a different breed from his brothers. We saw that in the two previous books, but wow this was not at all what I expected at all. It turned into some weird crime story half way through, and two people saying they aren't good enough for each other, then they are, then they aren't. I was getting whiplash. I have really enjoyed KM Scott's writing in the past, but this just didn't do it for me.
