Wow wtf was that. Absolutely wild 😅 This book is definitely no longer middle grade, at least by today's standards, unless you want to have some hard conversations about slavery and the follies of capitalism (and racism, but that's not specific to this installment in the series). And that ENDING? "The holidays have begun"??? WTAH. I'm not religious, so that will colour my reception of the finale but still it doesn't feel like an awesome message for kids.
