really interesting to see how one of my favorite movies was actually a book first! the book is the exact same tone of the movie, often making shitty but great jokes and breaking the fourth wall.
a lot more happened in the book than in the movie, but that is ok and i think those changes made the movie great and not too long. humperdink seems much more sinister in the book than in the movie, which i thought was an interesting difference. diego montoya is also much more of a drunkard in the book.
the book is kind of long but i am glad i read it. my edition had fun illustrations in it too which i always love.
