I was actually quite disappointed with this book. I’d enjoyed Undercover Bromance so much for its witty banter and comedic moments that I immediately started on this book with high hopes. I felt that Alexis and Noah’s friendship wasn’t shown well enough. It was actually hard to believe (for me) that they considered their friendship too precious to take it to the next level. I also didn’t really care for the donating-a-kidney-to-father-who-abandoned-daughter plotline. It’s just too big an issue to address to be a subplot in a romance novel. The pacing could use some improvement too. There were many times throughout where I got bored and yawned/almost fell asleep. Overall, a pretty average read.
