I was not sure whether to give this a 3 or 4 stars as the opening was quite rushed. I like the married-or-ruined trope just fine, but I usually require a bit more build-up before that event, not 5 pages into the book. However, the book got much better as it went on, and I ended up quite fond of both MCs by the end of it, hence 4 stars.
