Light in August by William Faulkner
4.0

This was accessible and at times, fast paced, and other times, not so much. The B names were excessive and confusing, but researching proved that might have been intentional.

Really profound that this was written in the ‘30s. Also, the best books or the books that leave a lasting impression are the ones I have questions for when I’m done reading or the ones I need to deep dive on. This definitely checked those boxes.

My first Faulkner!
