Eight Perfect Murders by Peter Swanson

4.0

For a book that took me a while to read despite how short it is, it was very good. It had the essence of an unreliable narrator, but not in a super obvious way, if that makes sense. The reveal was done very well. I was never correct about who was actually behind what was happening or how they were actually able to pull it all off. The ending really threw me, though. I was not expecting it and the minute he mentioned a certain book that turned out to be something else entirely, I just knew and my jaw dropped. I had fun going through the mystery about a guy who is seeing murders from mystery books he recommended - felt kind of meta. It was written well and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
