At first I thought this was the weirdest book in existence but over the time I read this it just got more and more horrifying. What's worse is that the events that take place in this book do actually happen in real life which is just so frightening. The thing I am still questioning is how Adam Zameenzad was able to weave in humour into a story like this one.
An incredibly important book about adolescents trying to survive the terrifying conditions in rural Africa like famine, political & sexual abuse, and civil war. This story will definitely stay with me for the rest of my life and has made me fully aware of the disgusting conditions that many unlucky people have to live through every day
