Summer at Tiffany by Marjorie Hart
5.0

I mostly wanted a fun read for when I came home from a long day at work. When I saw this on the new books shelf at the library, I knew it was perfect. Fun enough, it's the story of a couple college girls from Iowa who go to Manhattan in 1945 to get summer jobs, having heard from some school friends that it's a simple feat & New York! - What a way to spend the summer :) After days of job-searching, she & her friend land jobs at Tiffany, and the rest of the book is an account of their time in NY, seen through the eyes of two small-town midwestern girls. I'd rate it as 'charming' - it made me smile :)
