This was such an enjoyable audio listen. I don't love the idea of physically reading a verse novel, but I do really like the sound of a lot of them, so this was a perfect in between for me. This is absolutely the kind of book tackling shame, identity, and coming of age angst that I wish I'd have read as a teenager still battling through secondary school. Another title that I am very glad it on our Top 20 reading lists for our Y9s, that I will encourage even more students to read now that I am more familiar with it.
