I’m not usually one to take special notice of the artistry of picture books, but the beauty of this one really drew me in. It’s so lovely, I know my elementary library girly-girls will love this one even though the writing isn’t quite up to the same standard. I do like that the story is more accessible to my little ones than some other standard versions of fairy tales. A beautiful book, I will buy more of Gibbs’ retellings for my library.
