Everything is F*cked: A Book About Hope
by Mark Manson
informative
inspiring
I went into this book expecting the same punchy, no-nonsense wisdom that made The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck* such a standout, but this one didn’t quite hit the mark for me. That said, it did have a few genuinely insightful moments that I still carry with me months after finishing it, so it’s not without its merits.
🔎 What Worked:
🧠 Thought-Provoking Insights – Manson still has a knack for cutting through the noise and getting to the heart of what drives human behavior. There are lessons in this book that genuinely shifted my perspective, and I appreciate that.
💥 Big Picture Thinking – The book touches on some important philosophical ideas, challenging readers to think beyond their own immediate struggles and consider the broader, often chaotic nature of the world.
🤔 What Didn’t:
🎯 Mismatched Expectations – Given the title, I expected something a bit more from this book, but in the end I was let down. That's on me. However, the delivery did not match with the same impact as his earlier book.
