Reverie

I didn't like the book. I did a thing I never do that is barely reading, kind of skipping.
Starting with the main character that is confused is a way to confused us too. I didn't like him at all. He felt entitled and weird. Too much thought. Actions were long and boring. I didn't even realize he was shooting rainbows at first.
It is not that the writing is bad. It is more a problem of a POV. At some point I only read the dialogue and understood what was happening instead of being in his head.
I liked the story, at least the idea. But the plot was confusing. Still the same problem : the hero confusion is the same as the reader's. Maybe it would have been better from a omniscient stand point. Less confusing.
I would love to have like it. Some characters are quite awesome. The idea is great.
