Jules Southby has studied to become a psychologist, and she has secretly been pretending to be a man since birth. The Duke of Wulverton, James, has just be rescued after spending 10 years lost in the Yukon wilderness. His mother calls on Jules and her father to make sure James is prepared to reenter society. But James immediately sees through Jules's disguise and they are quickly drawn into a relationship so scandalous it would ruin both families.

Either of these premises would have made for a wild romance on their own, but together they somehow work while continuing to be an absolutely wild premise for a book. I thought the ending found a way to allow both characters to grow and find a happy ending that felt right without compromising who they were at their core.
