This is the kind of story that the author has sprinkled all her words of wisdom throughout for us
to pick up- my favorite was to not treat my body like its a 1 night stand. This really stayed with me after the story ended. So its more than just a hot read :)
Loved this story- Cam and Joellen. We all can see it coming except for poor Joellen. The author does a great job making us think she is as bad as she keeps telling herself, but she must be way better than portrayed. We don't get Cam's voice, telling us what he likes about her (which would help sway some of the negative image I have of her in my mind) but Cam himself is very vocal about her and we get hints from Mrs. Dingleberry (I forget her name if that's not it) calling her "Ducky".
A few inconsistencies: usually a player that takes such good care of his body is not portrayed as the hard drinking partying type and if he was really THAT famous, their apartment building would have been crawling with reporters. But the author does a good job making this story believable as far as his past and why he feels/knows what he does.
Loved how she called him "prancer" and the various nicknames they had for each other. Glad Michael turned out to be such an obviously terrible person.
Sweet ending, she fell on his magical dick and said it was a mistake (usually its the guy saying that and running) but I loved how he was so mad at her and still told her she was a dick for not wishing him a Merry Christmas. They really truly could be themselves with each other and that is the best relationship EVER.
And now I need to go analyze my impulse to go google Scottish rugby players :)
