Maybe This Once is the last, and final installment in the Rock Bottom Love Series. It is told in the third person, dual POV.

Grayson is the eldest Keller sibling and owner of Get Lost Lodge. After a painful divorce, he doesn't believe he will ever find love or get married again. Charlie has escaped to the lodge to connect with a recently discovered uncle to learn more about her late father while also running from a viral video that upended her life and shook her sense of self.

Get Lost Lodge (and the town of Smile) is an idyllic backdrop for a sweet romance; and the folks of Smile provide an eclectic group of side characters to enhance the story. The Keller family is warm, loyal, and so supportive of each other and everyone they meet.

I really enjoyed the meet cute for Gray and Charlie and felt that it was a great introduction to who both of them were as individuals, but this story felt a little more insta-love than the previous two; and at times, I did struggle with the believability of the connection between them. There are also some sections that move slowly and seemed repetitive, but there were still plenty of sweet and swoony moments (with very little angst) to make this a feel-good reading experience.
