Great story, lots of great scientific information, but lots of inaccurate historical information that’s included that doesn’t even need to be discussed in the first place, and the author seems like a generally bad dude. Misogynistic at the very least. Ashby could be a really cool character if she wasn’t constantly “hugging herself and crying” so Jake can come in to hug her and have a sexist thought monologue. Dialogue is very unnatural as well. I want to like it but at least it’s a quick read.
