I thought this was such a fun read - spicier than I thought it would be in several parts, but I have enjoyed reading it the past few days. This feels like BN’s sweet spot - you can see how comfortable she is writing small town romance. I love the tag on the cover, “Small towns have long memories…”

Talulah has moved back to her hometown in Coyote Canyon (based on Bozeman, MT) after 14 years of leaving her high school boyfriend at the altar (and a couple others since then). She returns to take care of her aunt’s estate and funeral bc no one else in her family is available. She has decided she’s not good at commitment, because she often feels like she wants to please the other person and says yes, when she isn’t fully committed. She’s in a business relationship with a man in Seattle who wants them to create the perfect family, and she wants that, too, but also doesn’t. When she runs into her first fiancés best friend and sparks fly, she questions what she wants at all.

Love being in Brenda Novak’s bookclub. Her video with her daughter Alexa about this book is worth watching!
