Unfortunately, I couldn't quite get into this story as much as I would've liked. Mainly because the only question I kept asking the book/author was "all this, over apples? Apples?!" I understand she was trying to incorporate some folklore, but I must've missed where exactly that was, unless, it was the whole never make deals with the Devil bit. Either way, I didn't get much folklore. One thing I really did enjoy was the little plot twist near the end, when things start coming together. Sadly, I figured out the plot twist before it it was revealed and it didn't take anything away, it was just kind of a "yeah. Knew it" moment.
