Against the Loveless World by Susan Abulhawa

5.0

An incredibly powerful narrative about a Palestinian woman's life as a refugee. This story is about love and loss and female relationships. I especially enjoyed Nahr's relationship with her mother, Um Buraq, and Jumana. The writing is beautiful with its lyricism, and I really enjoyed the narrative structure told from Nahr's time spent in the Cube. I would definitely recommend reading this book.
