Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey

3.0

Window Shopping was an enjoyable experience, with likeable main charaters that also had some depth to them and didn't just exist for the sake of the romance development. While I liked this I did have some trouble getting into it since it felt a bit heavy in the beginning for a holiday story, considering everything that Stella had gone through prior to us first meeting her, and that heavy feeling doesn't exactly go away until the very last part of the book. Her constant anxiety and the feeling that everything good might come to an end is however rather realistic, so I cannot fault the author for writing that in the story; on the contrary, I definitely think it works considering the character's history.

The romance did feel a bit too much too soon, which, for a commitment phobe like me was a bit suffocating, and it did seem slightly unrealistic, but all in all, considering this is a holiday romance it was still lovely to read.
